MS Dhoni's Cricketing Passion: A Childlike Love

Cricketing gloves that have been a part of Dhoni's life for nearly two decades and helped him in his playing career are now encased under glass at his Ranchi home. Dhoni efficiently brought down the curtains on his international career in 2019, although he still nurtures respect for the game. His cricketing career might have come to an end abroad, but he is once again in IPL, representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The 43-year-old cricket icon speaks about the eternal passion for the game and how he wanted to play for the same love as a kid.

The Unwavering Devotion-To Cricket

MS Dhoni, whose leadership took India to historic wins in the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy, has left a permanent imprint on Indian cricket. Even though he retired from international cricket in August in 2019, he's still not detached from IPL. He was retained by CSK prior to the mega auction and now plays as an uncapped player since he has retired from international boots.

During a recent gathering, Dhoni, whose app debuted on Single.id, spoke of his boundless love for cricket. "I retired in 2019, and it's a long time. What I have been doing in the meanwhile is enjoying matches like a kid." School time would begin at 4 o'clock for doing sports; we would play cricket every day. If the weather was not ideal, we played football instead-this, he remembers.

Dhoni's Legacy: Country First

Dhoni was adamant that throughout his stint with the Indian cricket team, his sole responsibility was to represent the country. "For me as a cricketer, playing for the Indian team was the biggest honor one could receive, and not everyone could dream of it."
